Vaultium completes beta trial and recieves good customer feedback

by Vaultium on 4 June 2010

“The beta version of the Vaultium software I tested during May 2010 was far more robust and reliable than many I’ve used.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was nearly production-ready and all the functionality was working.

Although initially unfamiliar with Vaultium’s interface, I found it quick to master. The icons all appeared and disappeared in a conveniently context-sensitive manner. The interface was simple to use and navigate.

The first aspect I particularly liked was the Preview column.  Next to the name of the file appeared a column showing a small image of the first three pages of the file.  Mouse-over on each small image and a larger one appeared.  This made it particularly easy to identify the different versions of a series of uploaded documents.

The second aspect I found useful was the ‘DropVault’.  I am accustomed to using a File Browse dialog to select a file to be attached or uploaded.  This unique Vaultium feature of being able to drag-and-drop a file and folders from Windows Explorer straight onto an area in the Web Browser is a real plus.

The one area I felt needed more work was the Dashboard. It’s a good idea, and further work on the design is still required.

To summarise, Vaultium have got a lot of good, easy-to-use functionality, right first time.  There are some great features like document previews and DropVault.  It has the potential to deliver real benefits for us in securing key files for anywhere, anytime access.”
